Your bike is one-of-a-kind, and not just because you've spent countless rides getting everything perfectly dialed in. Before they even leave the factory, each bike is given a unique birthmark on the bottom bracket. Like a fingerprint, that number's the key to identifying your bike and getting it back if it ever goes missing. In today's post we'll check out where to find your ride's serial number and what to do with that info to keep your bike secure!
First things first, where do you find your bike's magic number? The serial number will be engraved underneath the bottom bracket shell on the frame. Just flip that bike over and take a peek! Sometime's there's a sticker over it, sometimes it's covered in road dirt, but it'll be there!
Cycle ( ) [key Serial Number]
Get out your phone, snap a photo, and email it to yourself. Easy! And now you've got your serial number in your phone and the cloud so you can't lose it. Do this now. Seriously. Everybody says they'e going to record their serial number eventually, but if your bike gets stolen before you do and the cops recover it, you'll be really disappointed when you can't get it back because you can't prove it's yours. Maybe write it down on a business card and put it in your wallet too - just in case.
And now that you've got that hot new serial number burning a hole in your pocket, why not take a second to register your bike? You can drop your info into our official registration page// and we'll keep it all on file for you in case you ever need it.
For the ABUS Plus key: This key does not have the key code written anywhere on the key blade. The key code can only be located on the back of the plastic ABUS Plus key code card that came with your keys when you first received them. You will need to reference this card to get the key code. The number will be a 6 digit number that includes no letters.
For those who ordered their bikes via the BBOH Program: If you do not have your key code handy and you ordered your Xtracycle after October of 2018, we have a record of your key code. Feel free to email us and we can share that with you: support@xtracycle.com.
The serial number for your ebike is important for registering your bike with the organizations listed below. The serial number can be found on the head tube of the frame just below the handlebars and above the Gen3 Logo or on the Bottom Bracket shell on the underside of the bike between the pedals and cranks.
In contrast to a setval call, a RESTART operation on a sequence is transactional and blocks concurrent transactions from obtaining numbers from the same sequence. If that's not the desired mode of operation, setval should be used.
The clause CACHE cache enables sequence numbers to be preallocated and stored in memory for faster access. The minimum value is 1 (only one value can be generated at a time, i.e., no cache). If unspecified, the old cache value will be maintained.
The optional CYCLE key word can be used to enable the sequence to wrap around when the maxvalue or minvalue has been reached by an ascending or descending sequence respectively. If the limit is reached, the next number generated will be the minvalue or maxvalue, respectively.
If the optional NO CYCLE key word is specified, any calls to nextval after the sequence has reached its maximum value will return an error. If neither CYCLE or NO CYCLE are specified, the old cycle behavior will be maintained.

You can recycle a SERIAL column by inserting a row with an explicit number that is 2,147,483,647 (231-1), and then inserting another row with the number 0. This will reset the counter back to 1, but subsequent attempts to insert a new serial number (with 0 as the inserted value) may collide with a pre-existing row, and the INSERT will then fail (but the next attempt will use the next serial number).
Similar behaviour applies to SERIAL8 and BIGSERIAL columns, except that the wraparound value is 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 (263-1). If you're repeatedly running out of your 2 billion serial numbers, maybe you should consider updating your application to use BIGSERIAL so you can use numbers up to 9 quintillion. It's probably simpler in the long run. (Do not use SERIAL8 (or INT8); I mentioned it for completeness. New code should use BIGSERIAL and BIGINT. Yes, there are reasons.)
You can also use ALTER TABLE to change the value in the column, but be aware that the primary key attribute gets lost if you don't respecify it in the ALTER TABLE. This is a single sequence of statements (number 2455 if you're really curious):
Proof of ownership could be the original purchase receipt, a picture of you with the bike, or a logbook with matching serial numbers. If you have proof the bike is yours take it with you just in case.
REQUIRED: We immediately cancel your order unless you are a Tower customer AND you provide the 3-digit code off your battery pack. Put both your Tower eBike order number and the 3-digit key code in order comments.
Each electric bike purchase will come with 2 keys. Both keys are identical. Each bicycle battery key is battery specific, meaning no one else in the world will have your same keys to dismantle your battery. We recommend customers add one key to their keychain, and keep the other stored as a backup. We have approximately 4 keys for each battery, we send 2 with each order, and keep an additional 2 if they ever get lost.
You can only order keys based on the number that is stated on your bicycle key. Unfortunately, it is not possible to order a key with the number stated on the lock or for non-AXA keys. plaatselijke dealer gaan.

Your new frame has a serial number on the front triangle, the rear triangle, and on the top suspension link. For 2020 and newer models the serial number QR code is located under the downtube near the headtube for the front triangle, on the non-drive side vertical strut for the rear triangle, and on top or bottom of the carbon toplink. For examples of toplink and older models please keep scrolling on this page.
The following simple steps presented in this document (Squeaks and Creaks) will guide you through the most common areas of squeaking/creaking noises, they will provide you the procedure in order to make them cease and ride your bicycle smoothly again. Never forget that these annoying noises also mean that there might be possibility of serious safety issues if not dealt with. If after following all these simple steps, you are still experiencing some problems with your bicycle, we highly recommend you bring it to your local Devinci Authorized Dealer for further investigation.

Devinci ebikes are in fact electrically assisted bicycles, also called EPABs. To access the assistance, the rider must pedal continuously, which makes it an excellent exercise that opens up a world of possibilities to all types of cyclists.
The range of an electric power-assisted bicycle varies depending on the conditions of use, in the same way that an electric or a gas-powered car will consume more energy in certain conditions. For example, if you are travelling against the wind or in a hilly region, the range of your bike will be affected. Also, a lightweight cyclist using an electric power-assisted bicycle will have more range than a heavier one.
If you have lost your key and do not have the key number, you will have to contact your Devinci dealer who can order a new key and tumbler from ABUS and change the lock system. If you have not lost your key and simply would like to make a spare, you can have one made at any shop that cuts keys or order one directly from ABUS with the number written on your key.
We love all our Moots Riders, whether you bought your Moots brand new or picked its up 2nd, 3rd, or 4th hand! We get a lot of requests to research serial numbers for older frames; we're always happy to help, but it's a time-consuming process. In exchange for this service we ask for a $10 payment that we will donate to a cycling related nonprofit. (such as IMBA or People for Bikes for example)
The serial number will be located on the bottom of the bottom bracket shell (where the cranks go in the frame) The serial numbers are hand stamped, so please check the numbers closely! Most Moots serial numbers are 7 digits. The first two numbers are the frame size, followed by a letter (M, O, or T), followed by 4 digits. For example 52T9999 . If the serial number does not start with the frame size it is often a custom size. Once you check out and pay we will do our best to reply to you via email within 1 business day. We can provide the year/month of manufacturing, model, and if it is a stock size or custom. If it is a custom we DO NOT have drawing on file. This is the extent of information we have. 2ff7e9595c
